I ran into the same problem, I run a small web hosting company and ended writing a click tracdking system which logs the users IP address and watches for any orders by them

Just register at an affiliate directory. The best one in my opinion is Clickbooth, you can register below at a link I posted, its easy. The reason its the best is because they have the best products, best selling, and great commissions.

All affiliate programs are sold by links, just go there, register, choose a program, then get its link. Put it on your website, anyone who buys it from that link will get you money.

to build your own affiliate program:
there are companies that can help you, you need to make the search “building my own affiliate programs” I know of one company that handle website building, hosting and marketing “all in one” for online small business with litle budget. they also will build your affiliate program and help you promoting it fast.

if you have a product to sell you can join an affiliate network, like ClickBank they have a large nomber of affiliates. if you have good product and welling to give high commission they will promote your product and sell it for you.
